Down-town
Herzliya under TERROR attack!! / We are all safe. Posted 11/6/2002
We lived our lives as usual, we just could not belive
terror will hit us in our town.
Terror was everywhere in Israel.
Bombs exploded 20KM away from us, at near-by towns
and each time we said: "Thank god it's not here".
Today it all changed, nightmare has reached Herzliya.
At 7:40, In Jamil's restaurant (a place each and every
one of us knows, and I personally eat there every once and a while
and every day I pass next to the place) near the 29 bus station,
where I used to travel by buses every day until I got my new car
a Palestinian suicide bomber exploded.
He stood inside the entrance and asked for a glass
of water.
Seconds later he exploded.
19 Israeli's were injured and one 15 year old teenage
girl was killed.
I am trying to find out who is the girl killed, she
might be someone from my school.
The Palestinian terror monsters reached us.
Sparing no one and aiming at innocent civilians.
This menace has to be stopped.
I call uppon or government to use every force possible
to stop these monsters.
Arafat and his terrorist friends must be stopped!!!!
We must stop them before many more innocent civilians
on both side will lose their lives.

At 7:45 I tryed to call someone, the phone lines were
down.
It was the first sign of trouble.
Seconds later I begun hearing sirens and police cars
started rushing towards down-down.
Ten minutes later the main chanel (IBA Channel 1)
stopped showing it's regular programs and the breaking news were
announced.
The nightmare begun.
Eveyone tried despertly to phone to people they know
to find out if everything is okey.
Only after about 20 minutes the lines were back up
again and people were able to contact each other.
Eveyone I know are fine.
Yaron (From Boxi's class) and Flabi (his friend) were
at the spot of the explosion but thank god they were unharmed.
A friend of our family was able to call us 20 minutes
after the blast (she lives about 100 meteres away from the place
of the explosion).
She told us that there is a girl on the floor and
she is not moving.
She also said the suicde bomber was blown to pieces.
People were shouting she said, people were screaming:
terror is here.
